cat toys + free tutorials

I feel sewing-blocked and somewhat blog-blocked... What with all the job interviews I am attending and having made several mistakes in my self-drafted 10-gore skirt.

So I made this little cat toy for my friend's kitten, using some fabric scraps.

I followed the tutorial pretty much to the letter, except for the tail. Rather than fold, stitch, and turn a piece of fabric right-side out, I zig-zag stitched a folded strip of fleece wrong sides together. That's what gave the tail that curly shape :-) I also added whiskers!
